If you've ever dropped a truck cap or canopy straight onto bare bed rails, you already know what happens next. Road grime works its way in. Rain finds the gap on the highway. And every seam in the pavement sends a rattle up through the shell. Camco's Camper Mounting Tape is the fix, and it's about as simple as gear gets. It's a self-adhesive vinyl foam that you run along the bed rail before you set the shell down, and it seals out the dust, drafts, and water that a bare metal-on-fiberglass joint lets through.

The roll is 30 feet long, 1-1/4 inches wide, and 3/16 inch thick, in black. That length is enough to do a large camper or a full canopy with room to work, so you're not splicing pieces halfway down the second rail. The width gives you a real sealing surface across the top of the rail, and the 3/16-inch thickness is the part people underrate.
