A backbone missing a terminator throws constant errors on the display even when every device looks wired right. And if your battery switch sits far from the run, that 1-meter power cable can come up short. It's easy to extend with a longer Ancor power cable, so plan the feed point before you commit.

The 5-meter drop cable and the field-serviceable connectors are the pieces that make this assortment flexible. Drop cables reach instruments mounted away from the trunk, and NMEA 2000 allows drops up to 6 meters, so the 5-meter piece handles a flybridge helm or a bow-mounted sensor without splicing.
