Faria Beede’s Platinum Series Instruments feature spun aluminum gauge dials with custom graphics and a polished stainless steel bezel providing a rugged, elegant look.  

All Platinum Series gauges feature Faria's revolutionary domed glass Fog-Resistant lens. These lenses shed condensation and resists scratching and other types of fouling common in the marine environment.  

Fuel Level gauge operates by sending a low amperage current through the gauges meter to ground via a sending unit with variable resistance. The resistance of the sending units increase or decrease with the changes in pressure, temperature, etc...

As the sender's resistance varies, the amount of current allowed to flow through it to ground changes and the meter deflects, showing the level of fuel.

Platinum 2-inch Fuel Level Gauge (E-1 / 2-F) Faria Beede's Platinum series meters have a rotating aluminum dial with custom graphics and a polished stainless steel bezel for a sturdy and elegant appearance. All Platinum series meters use Farias' revolutionary hemispherical glass fog-corrosion-resistant lenses. These lenses can prevent condensation and prevent scratches and other types of fouling that are common in marine environments. The working principle of the fuel level gauge is to send a low ampere current to the ground through the gauge through a variable resistor sending unit. The resistance of the transmitter increases or decreases with changes in pressure, temperature, etc. As the resistance of the transmitter changes, the amount of current flowing through it to the ground also changes, and the meter will deflect to display the fuel level.
