FLIR's 12V Power Over Ethernet Injector is a key component in connecting your FLIR maritime thermal imaging camera to an Ethernet-equipped Joystick Control Unit.
Use FLIR 12V Power-over-Ethernet injectors to power more complex M-series camera and joystick control unit configurations. In a simple installation, the joystick control unit can be directly connected to the camera using the enclosed double-shielded Ethernet cable. In this case, the joystick control unit will obtain power from the camera. But in more complex installations, a network switch can be used to interconnect the camera and joystick control unit. If the network switch does not have Power over Ethernet (PoE) function, you can use a PoE injector to power the joystick control unit.
