Raymarine i40 Depth Display System — Product description

Navigating shallow bays, anchoring in unfamiliar coves, or simply keeping tabs on underwater hazards demands a reliable depth readout you can trust at a moment's notice. The Raymarine i40 Depth display steps up as a compact powerhouse for smaller vessels like RIBs, powerboats, and day sailors, delivering crystal-clear depth information without the clutter of bulky electronics. Its oversized digits cut through glare and darkness, ensuring you're always one glance away from essential data.

Standout Features for Everyday Boating

  • Instant Depth Readouts: Large 28mm segmented LCD shows current depth, minimum depth recorded, and customizable offsets to account for your hull's keel or props—perfect for accurate waterline measurements.
  • Smart Alarms: Audible and visual alerts for shallow water, deep zones, anchor points, and more, giving you peace of mind when exploring uncharted spots or dropping hook at dusk.
  • SeaTalk Integration: Seamlessly shares data with Raymarine autopilots, multifunction displays, and other instruments, turning your helm into a unified command center.
  • Red Night Backlighting: Enhances readability in low light without washing out your night vision, ideal for those late-night returns or foggy mornings.
  • Transducer Flexibility: Connect your own thru-hull or transom-mount sensor directly, or repeat data from networked devices for versatile setups.
  • Low-Power Efficiency: Sips just 30mA at 12V, extending battery life on long outings or when running off solar auxiliaries.

Why Boaters Rely on the i40 Depth Display

Space is premium on smaller boats, and the i40's slim 5.04" x 2.83" x 1.4" profile fits flush or surface mounts effortlessly, matching the footprint of older ST40 models for straightforward upgrades. IPX6 waterproofing shrugs off spray, rain, and the occasional wave over the bow, while oversized buttons make adjustments glove-friendly even in rough seas.

Imagine threading through a rocky inlet: the shallow alarm chirps early, minimum depth logs help plot safe paths for return trips, and network sharing lets your autopilot adjust course automatically. It's not just a gauge—it's a safety net that enhances confidence on the water.

Effortless Setup and Broad Compatibility

Getting underway is straightforward with included surface-mount hardware, SeaTalk cables, and a protective sun cover. Opt for flush mounting to blend seamlessly with modern helms or add a trunnion kit for swivel views. It thrives on 10-16V DC systems, operates from -20°C to +55°C, and handles 93% humidity without flinching.

Built for Raymarine ecosystems, it pairs with a-Series, c-Series, and e-Series MFDs, plus autopilots for data-rich voyages. Whether hosting its own transducer or echoing from the network, it keeps your setup simple and scalable.
