Blue Sea Systems ML series automatic charging relays provide a 500A magnetic latching (bistable) relay, which automatically merges the batteries when charging, and isolates the batteries when discharging and starting the engine. Magnetic latch (ML) relays consume very low current in the on-state. Start isolation (SI) can be configured to temporarily isolate the house load from the engine circuit during engine startup to protect sensitive electronic equipment. Engine isolation (EI) can be configured to isolate when two engines are running simultaneously to protect engine electronics and maximize the output of the alternator. The manual override knob provides higher security, allows control in the case of power-on or power-off, and has a "lock" function for maintenance. The LED output can remotely indicate the switch status-an optional LED or a remote control Contura switch with integrated LED is required. 3/8" -16 tinned copper studs provide maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. 7/8" (22mm) stud length can accommodate multiple cable terminals. One-piece stainless steel flange nuts ensure a safe and reliable connection. The label notch is used for circuit identification. Silver alloy contacts provide high reliability for live switches.
