FBA-38 is an alkaline battery tray designed to provide an alternative power source for HX-700 series radio equipment when the main battery is exhausted and there is no available charging device. FBA-38 will use 5 AAA batteries. The standard FBA-38 AA battery clip for the HX850S provides an alternative method for powering radio equipment in place of the standard lithium-ion battery pack that comes with the equipment.
