Linear actuator OCTAF1212LAM12. The octopus hydraulic linear actuator is a simple and effective method for driving the rudder on a ship equipped with a mechanical steering system. The linear actuator is a component of the octopus reversing pump and the marine hydraulic cylinder. The component is installed on the tiller or quadrant. When the autopilot is not used, the hydraulic cylinder runs freely with the rudder. When using automatic pilot, the solenoid valve on the actuator closes and locks the cylinder. The pilot's steering signal is now fed to the DC motor, which drives the pump to move the cylinder back and forth. After the power is cut off, the solenoid valve immediately disconnects the automatic control device from the rudder. The actuator has a small translucent oil tank, making it easy to check the liquid level. These actuators have only five moving parts. Compared with complex gears and lead screw actuators, the simplicity of machinery makes our products reliable and easy to maintain. These actuators are shipped from our factory and are completely filled with oil and do not require additional piping. With an average current of 4-6 amperes. The maximum current is 19 amperes and 12v. DC bore: 38mm. Variable flow rate: 600cc. 1.2L/min stroke: 305mm / 12". Recommended hardening time: 14-16 seconds.
