When your RV's patio awning still rolls in and out just fine but the vinyl up top is faded, cracked, or split along a seam, you don't have to buy a whole new awning. You replace the fabric. This is a one-piece fabric. The main canopy and the weathershield come welded together as a single sheet, so there's no separate valance to fight with and nothing to line up during the install. The weathershield is the strip that wraps around the outside of the roll and takes the sun's beating while the awning is stowed. On this one it's black vinyl. So even after the canopy fades a bit over the seasons, the part that's exposed all week in a storage lot is the piece built to shrug it off.

A quick word on that 19 foot number, because it trips people up. It's the size of your awning, measured along the rail or roller tube, not the length of the fabric itself. The vinyl is cut shorter, usually around nine to ten inches, so it sits cleanly between the end caps once it's threaded in. So if your current awning reads 19 feet on the arm or in your owner's manual, this is the fabric you want.
