Coleman Mach 8 Plus 13,500 BTU RV Rooftop Air Conditioner — Product description

The Coleman Mach 8 Plus is a 13,500 BTU low-profile rooftop air conditioner built for RVs, trailers, and campers. It runs on standard 120-volt power, works in ducted or non-ducted setups, and drops into a standard 14-inch by 14-inch roof vent opening. Textured white to blend in up top. Just note the ceiling assembly ships separately.

The Coleman Mach 8 Plus is the low-profile workhorse of RV rooftop cooling. At just 8.3 inches tall, it sits close to the roofline, so you get less wind drag and a cleaner look going down the highway. Under that textured white shroud is a 13,500 BTU system that pulls 12.1 amps on the compressor and runs off standard 120-volt shore or generator power.

It's a flexible unit. Run it ducted through your existing roof ductwork, or set it up non-ducted with a ceiling assembly for a single-zone camper or trailer. It drops into the standard 14-inch by 14-inch vent opening most rigs already have, which keeps the install straightforward. This is the cool-only model, so there's no heat pump and no built-in condensate pump to worry about.

One thing to plan for before you order: the ceiling assembly isn't included and has to be ordered separately. Get both on the bench before you head up on the roof. This unit is also cataloged under the newer 37203-076 part number, so don't let the two numbers throw you.

Key Features

  • 13,500 BTU cooling capacity, enough to cool most single-zone RVs, trailers, and campers
  • 8.3-inch low-profile height cuts wind drag and helps clear low garages and awnings
  • Ducted or non-ducted configuration, so it works with factory ductwork or a single ceiling assembly
  • 120-volt power with a 12.1-amp compressor draw, runs on shore power or a properly sized generator
  • Fits the standard 14-inch by 14-inch roof vent opening for a straightforward swap

Frequently asked questions

Does this Coleman Mach 8 Plus include the ceiling assembly?

No. The ceiling assembly has to be ordered separately. You'll need it to finish the install whether you run the unit ducted or non-ducted, so order both together.

Is this a heat pump, and does it have a condensate pump?

Neither. This is the cool-only Mach 8 Plus. It comes without a heat pump and without a built-in condensate pump.

What size roof opening does it need?

It's built for the standard 14-inch by 14-inch vent opening found on most RVs and trailers, so in a lot of rigs it drops right into an existing spot.

What power does it run on?

Standard 120-volt AC. The compressor draws 12.1 amps, so run it on shore power or a generator sized to handle the startup load alongside your other draws.

Why are there two part numbers, 47203-076 and 37203-076?

That's the same air conditioner under two catalog numbers. 37203-076 is the newer number for this Mach 8 Plus, so either one gets you this unit.
