Coleman-Mach 3 Plus 13,500 BTU RV Rooftop Air Conditioner — Product description

The Coleman-Mach 3 Plus is a 13,500 BTU rooftop air conditioner built to keep your RV or trailer cool through the hottest afternoons. It drops into a standard 14 inch by 14 inch roof vent opening and runs on 120 volt shore power, pulling 13.1 amps at the compressor. Ducted or non-ducted, your call on the ceiling assembly.

If your RV's rooftop unit finally gave up, the Coleman-Mach 3 Plus is a straight-ahead replacement that gets the job done. It's a 13,500 BTU cooler in polished white, sized to drop right into the standard 14 inch by 14 inch vent opening most coaches already have cut in the roof. No custom fabrication, no guesswork.

It runs on 120 volt shore power and draws 13.1 amps at the compressor, so you'll want a working 30 amp hookup or a generator that can carry it. This is a cooling-only unit. There's no heat pump and no condensate pump, which keeps it simpler and a little lighter at 79.5 pounds up on the roof.

One thing to plan for before you order: the ceiling assembly ships separately. You pick ducted or non-ducted depending on how your rig routes its air, then match the assembly to that. Heads up, this unit also carries the newer number 38203-064, so don't sweat it if you see that stamped instead of 38203-065.

Key Features

  • 13,500 BTU cooling capacity, enough to hold down a mid-size travel trailer or coach in real heat
  • Fits standard 14 in. x 14 in. roof vent openings, so it drops into most existing RV cutouts
  • 120 volt operation with a 13.1 amp compressor draw, runs off a 30 amp hookup or a capable generator
  • Ducted or non-ducted configuration, matched to the ceiling assembly you order separately
  • Cooling-only design at 79.5 pounds, no heat pump or condensate pump to complicate the install

Frequently asked questions

Does this air conditioner come with a ceiling assembly?

No. The ceiling assembly ships separately, and you choose ducted or non-ducted based on how your RV routes its air. Order the matching assembly along with the unit.

What size roof opening does it need?

It's built for the standard 14 inch by 14 inch vent opening found on most RVs and trailers, so in most cases it drops right into the existing cutout.

Does the Mach 3 Plus have a heat pump?

No. This is a cooling-only unit with no heat pump and no condensate pump. If you need heat, you'll handle that with a separate furnace or heat source.

What power does it need to run?

It runs on 120 volt power and draws 13.1 amps at the compressor. Plan on a working 30 amp shore hookup or a generator that can carry that load.

Why does it also show part number 38203-064?

That's the current number for this same unit. Coleman RVP updated the part number, so 38203-065 and 38203-064 refer to the same rooftop air conditioner.
