The Camco TastePURE 50-foot drinking water hose does one job and does it honestly. It gets clean, safe water from the dock spigot to your boat or RV. If you've ever grabbed the nearest garden hose off the shelf for a potable fill, you already know why that's a bad idea. Regular hoses leach that warm-rubber taste and aren't rated for drinking water. This one is NSF certified for potable use, and it's free of lead, BPA, and phthalates. Keep it out of constant sun when you can. UV is hard on the outer jacket over a full season of exposure, and a hose that lives in a deck locker or a storage bag will outlast one baked on the dock all summer. When you first put it into service, run water through it for ten minutes or so. Any new PVC hose carries a faint plastic taste on the first couple of fills, and a good flush clears it right out.

This is not a heated hose, so it won't protect your water supply from freezing. If you camp or cruise in below-freezing temperatures and need freeze protection at the connection, that's a different product. One more habit worth building. Keep your drinking hose separate from every other hose on the boat.
