The Camco 40433 is a white roof vent cover built to fit the 14-inch by 14-inch roof vents you'll find on just about every travel trailer, fifth wheel, and motorhome out there. It mounts over your existing vent so you can leave the lid cracked open for airflow, rain or shine. If you've ever had to close up every vent the second the clouds rolled in, this is the part that fixes that.

Here's the idea. The cover is a dome shape that's vented on one side. Air moves in and out through that opening, but the dome shields the vent below from rain coming straight down. So on a muggy afternoon when a shower blows through, you don't have to choose between fresh air and a wet floor. You leave the vent open and let the rig breathe.

Like any roof penetration on an RV, take your time with the sealant. A bead of quality RV sealant or butyl tape at the screw points keeps water out and is cheap insurance against a leak down the road. Upkeep is about as easy as it gets. Once or twice a season, pop up top and clear the screen.
