An autopilot is a system, not a single box. SI-TEX SP-110 and SP-120 systems pair a course computer with a rudder feedback unit and a drive matched to your steering. The right drive depends on your boat. Hydraulic pumpsets in 12, 18, and 30 cubic inch sizes suit hydraulic steering, while mechanical remote drives serve sail and many inboard and I/O setups. Match the drive to your displacement and cylinder size.
A rudder feedback unit tells the pilot where the rudder sits, which is key to accurate course holding. SI-TEX offers inboard rotary feedback with cable runs to reach the helm. Follow-up and non follow-up remotes let you steer from the cockpit or a second station. If you are replacing a drive, confirm the cylinder volume and stroke so the new pumpset moves the rudder correctly.
It depends on your steering. Hydraulic boats use a pumpset sized in cubic inches to match the cylinder, while sail and mechanical setups use a remote mechanical drive sized to displacement.
It reports the rudder position back to the autopilot, which the system needs to hold an accurate course. SI-TEX offers rotary feedback units with cable.
A follow-up remote steers the rudder to a set angle, while a non follow-up remote moves it as long as you hold the control. Both let you steer from a remote station.
Match the pumpset cubic inch rating to your steering cylinder volume. SI-TEX offers 12, 18, and 30 cubic inch pumpsets for different cylinder sizes.
