SeaDek Marine Decking & Pads

SeaDek is closed-cell EVA foam decking that gives a boat cushioned, non-skid footing without the heat and upkeep of teak. It will not absorb water, stays cooler underfoot than bare fiberglass in the sun, and adds grip where the deck gets wet. What SeaDek does for your boat

The foam cushions your feet and knees on a long day, quiets the deck, and gives sure footing when things get wet. Dual-density pads pair a tough top layer over a softer base, so they wear well and still feel good underfoot. Because it is closed-cell, it shrugs off water, fuel, and sun, and a quick rinse keeps it clean.

Pick the pad for the spot

Helm pads cushion where you stand for hours at the wheel. Step and ladder pads add grip on the spots that get slick. Swim-platform and transom pads protect the gelcoat and give bare feet traction at the dock. Match the pad to where it goes, and check the listed dimensions against your space before ordering, since these are cut to set sizes.

Color and texture

SeaDek comes in a wide range of colors and brushed or smooth textures, often two-tone with a contrasting top and base that shows through where the top is routed. Pick colors that match or accent your hull and upholstery. Lighter colors stay cooler in direct sun, which matters on a barefoot deck.

Install is peel and stick

Most pads use a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. Clean and dry the surface completely, dry-fit the pad, then peel and press from one edge to avoid bubbles. Surface prep is everything, because the adhesive grabs hard once it is down and a dirty surface is the main reason a pad lifts.

Pre-cut or custom

Pre-cut pads cover common helm, step, and platform spots affordably. For full deck coverage or an odd shape, a custom-cut kit templated to your boat is the way to get edge-to-edge fit, though it costs more and takes longer. SeaDek works on fiberglass, aluminum, and most marine surfaces when they are properly prepared. Many boat owners add it to center consoles, pontoons, and sportfishing boats for both comfort and safety.
