Choosing Perko Deck and Galley Hardware

Perko casts most of its hardware from bronze and brass and chrome plates it for a bright finish that holds up in salt service. Start with the hinge type for your project. Strap hinges, flush hinges, T-hinges and pull-apart hinges each suit different doors and hatches, and pull-apart styles let you lift a door off without removing screws.

Match the size and hand of the part to your opening. Some catches and pulls are made in left-hand and right-hand versions, so check which side your door swings before ordering. Hatch lifting rings sit flush and give you a grip to raise a deck plate or locker lid. Confirm the hole pattern and finish against your existing hardware so a replacement matches the rest of the boat.
