Sacrificial Anode: We use metals that are properly balanced & a composite shaft to ward off galvanic corrosion. So the only piece left for saltwater to attack is this little zinc anode, which absorbs corrosion so the rest of the motor doesn't have to.

Minn Kota Riptide Ultra is the only trolling motor that can be automatically retracted and unfolded at the push of a button, and can easily control saltwater fishermen through the included I-Pilot remote control or foot pedal (sold separately). With the push of a button, Riptide Ultra can be trimmed or reduced to adapt to changing fishing conditions without reaching into the trolling boat. This variable speed traction motor has Minn Kota's Digital Maximizer function, which allows you to input precise speeds, consumes only the required power, and provides up to five times the working time on a single charge. The I-Pilot Link system uses Spot-Lock to lock the GPS to the fishing point, record and trace the path, command speed and turn and other functions, so that you can control the motor viewfinder fish virtual remote control from the color touch screen remote control or the hummingbird (other sold ). It also provides Spot-Lock with jog function, which can fix you on the top of any high-yield fishing field without touching the trolling motor. Using the included heading sensor, you can use the scroll wheel to move the Spot-Lock position 5 feet in any direction. I-Pilot has a built-in battery fuel gauge that allows you to instantly read the battery life of the motor. The Minn Kota Riptide motor is designed with advanced corrosion protection and fully encapsulated electronics to ensure the ultimate salt water defense capability. The lower casing of the Riptide motor is sandblasted and then coated with aluminum to prevent oxidation and rust. Then, the last layer of powder coating provides the ultimate protection.
