Furuno PM275LHW Bronze Pocket Mount CHIRP Transducer - 12-Pin — Product description

Discover the game-changing performance of a transducer that redefines underwater scanning for serious anglers and boaters. Engineered for precision and expansive coverage, this bronze pocket-mount model excels in delivering crystal-clear images across vast depths, making it a top choice for those chasing trophy fish in challenging conditions.

Superior Wide-Beam Technology for Unmatched Coverage

Imagine casting your eyes six times farther beneath your vessel than conventional setups allow. This transducer's innovative wide-beam design at high frequencies maintains a consistent 25-degree beamwidth across the entire 150-250 kHz range. Paired with advanced sounders, it paints a broader picture of the underwater world, spotting bait balls and structure from horizon to horizon. No more missing out on fish holding off to the sides—every scan reveals more opportunities.

Robust Low and High CHIRP Frequencies for Versatile Fishing

Tackle shallow reefs or plumb the depths up to 600 feet with dual-band CHIRP prowess. The low-frequency sweep from 42-65 kHz punches through water columns for deep-water bottom contouring, while the high-frequency band delivers pinpoint target separation ideal for mid-water pelagics. This broadband versatility shines in diverse environments, from coastal trolling to offshore adventures, ensuring you stay locked on fish no matter the scenario.

Bronze Construction Built for Marine Demands

Crafted from durable bronze, this pocket-mount transducer withstands the rigors of saltwater exposure without compromising acoustic performance. Its in-hull design integrates seamlessly into hull pockets, minimizing drag and eliminating through-hull holes for cleaner lines and safer operation. With a 1000-watt power handling and integrated temperature sensor, it feeds real-time data to your chartplotter or fish finder, enhancing situational awareness on the water.

Effortless Integration and Reliable Performance

Installation is straightforward for DIY enthusiasts or pros alike—simply secure into the prepared pocket, route the 39-foot cable, and connect via the 12-pin interface. Compatible with leading multifunction displays and dedicated sounders, it unlocks full CHIRP potential without fuss. Beam angles adapt efficiently (25x16 degrees low, 10x6 high), providing tailored views for bottom fishing or searching vast areas.

Real-World Advantages Over Traditional Transducers

  • Expansive Scan Area: Over sixfold increase in bottom coverage compared to narrow high-frequency options, perfect for marking schools quickly.
  • Enhanced Resolution: CHIRP processing separates targets like never before, distinguishing fish from clutter effortlessly.
  • Dead-Angle Optimized: Handles hull deadrise up to 25 degrees, ideal for sailboats, yachts, and planing hulls.
  • Weatherproof Reliability: Bronze body and sealed electronics endure harsh marine conditions season after season.

Pro Tips for Maximizing Your Setup

To get the most from this powerhouse, position the pocket forward of any strakes or steps for optimal water flow. Calibrate gain settings on your display for species-specific tuning—lower for baitfish frenzy, higher for bottom dwellers. Regular hull cleaning prevents biofouling, preserving peak transmit power and sensitivity. Anglers report dramatic hook-up increases in wide-beam mode during dawn patrols.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the wide beam different from standard transducers?

The wide beam maintains a full 25-degree spread across high frequencies, sweeping over six times more seafloor than narrow beams. This reveals hidden fish holding wide off the track line.

Is this suitable for in-hull mounting on my boat?

Yes, its pocket-mount bronze design fits most in-hull pockets, accommodating deadrise angles up to 25 degrees for smooth integration without drag.

What depth range does it cover effectively?

Optimized for 300 to 600 feet, with low CHIRP excelling deeper and high CHIRP shining in mid-ranges for structure and fish ID.

Does it include a temperature sensor?

Absolutely, the built-in temp probe delivers surface water readings to correlate with fish behavior patterns.

What displays is it compatible with?

It pairs seamlessly with advanced fish finders and MFDs supporting CHIRP, leveraging 12-pin connectivity for plug-and-play operation.

How does CHIRP improve over single-frequency scanning?

CHIRP sweeps frequencies continuously for superior target separation, clearer echoes, and reduced noise—turning vague arches into distinct fish signatures.

What's the cable length for routing?

A generous 39.3 feet provides ample reach from hull pocket to helm station without extenders.

This series transducers are truly broadband at its best. Paired with NavNet TZtouch3's built-in Fish Finder, the pocket mounted provides a high frequency range of 150 to 250 Kilohertz and a constant 25 Degree beamwidth. The “W” stands for wide and that’s what the really delivers. Unlike traditional high frequency transducers that provide narrow performance, this unique, new wide beam/high frequency design achieves over six times the coverage under the boat compared to standard high-frequency CHIRP Transducers.
