Victron Skylla-i 24/80(3) 230V Charger
Victron Skylla-i 24/80(3) 230V Charger — Product description
The main features of the Skylla-i are that is has synchronized parallel operation which means several chargers can be synchronised with the CAN bus interface. This battery charger also has a BatterySafe mode which prevents damage due to excessive gassing, Storage mode is also available which after 24 hours of non-use the float voltage will be reduced to 2.2V.
This Victron charger has a temperature sensor which lowers the charge voltage as the temperature increases and has battery voltage sense which compensates for loss due to cable resistance by using a voltage sense facility to ensure the battery always gets the correct charge voltage.
The Skylla-i is suitable for AC and DC supply and can also be used as a power supply
Victron Energy Skylla-i 24/80(3) 230V Marine Battery Charger - Professional 3-Output Charging System
Experience uncompromising marine battery charging performance with the Victron Energy Skylla-i 24/80(3), engineered to withstand the harshest marine environments while delivering intelligent 80-amp charging power across three independent outputs. This professional-grade marine battery charger combines advanced NMEA 2000 integration with robust construction designed specifically for heat, humidity, and salt air conditions.
Superior Marine Environmental Protection
Built Marine Tough: The Skylla-i features epoxy powder-coated aluminum housing with drip protection and marine-grade stainless steel brackets. The advanced acrylic circuit board coating provides exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring reliable operation in the most challenging marine environments.
- Marine-Grade Construction: Withstands heat, humidity, salt air, and constant vibration
- Corrosion Resistance: Specialized coating protects internal components from marine atmospheric corrosion
- Temperature Protection: Advanced thermal monitoring prevents overheating in confined marine installations
- Compact Marine Design: Smaller and lighter than comparable chargers for easier installation
Intelligent 3-Output Charging Technology
Flexible Power Distribution: The 80-amp maximum charging current can be freely distributed among three isolated outputs, with each output capable of supplying the full rated current when needed. This configuration allows simultaneous charging of house banks, engine start batteries, and auxiliary systems.
Advanced Charging Intelligence
- Variable Absorption Time: Automatically adjusts absorption phase duration based on discharge depth, preventing overcharging after shallow discharges while ensuring complete charging after deep cycles
- BatterySafe Mode: Prevents battery damage from excessive gassing by automatically limiting voltage rise rate once gassing voltage is reached
- Storage Mode: Activates after 24 hours of inactivity, reducing float voltage to 26.4V to minimize maintenance and extend battery life
- Temperature Compensation: Integrated battery temperature sensor optimizes charging voltage for varying ambient conditions
Professional NMEA 2000 Integration
Seamless Marine Network Integration: The built-in NMEA 2000 CAN-bus interface enables complete system integration with modern marine electronics, allowing centralized monitoring and control through multifunction displays or dedicated monitoring panels.
- Remote Monitoring: Real-time charging status, current, voltage, and battery condition data
- Multiple Charger Synchronization: Connect multiple Skylla-i units via RJ45 cables for larger installations
- PowerControl Integration: Set maximum shore power draw to prevent tripping marina breakers
- Alarm Integration: System fault notifications through connected marine electronics
